Why linen
Why we sell only linen for Mumbai weather
From March to the end of the monsoon, a cotton shirt in Mumbai is wet at the back before lunch. Linen handles this better, and the reasons are simple.
The yarn is thick and the weave is open, so air passes through the cloth. Linen takes up sweat and dries quickly, so the shirt stops feeling damp sooner. The fibre is stiff, so the cloth stands away from the body instead of sticking to it. A linen towel dries on the rail overnight even in July, which a thick cotton towel often does not.
Linen creases. That is how the fibre behaves, and it says nothing bad about the quality. If you want a sharp look for the office, iron the shirt while it is still a little damp.
Before cutting, every length of fabric is washed. You can wash the shirt you buy from us at home and it will shrink by 3% or less.

What you get
Pre-washed
Washed before cutting. Shrinks 3% at most after you buy it.
Five colours
Natural, White, Blue, Olive and Rust. Not every product comes in all five. The half sleeve shirt and the cushion covers do. The bedspread and the home set come only in Natural and White. Each product shows its own colours in the drop-down list.
Our own tailor
Joseph Mathew cuts and sews every shirt and kurta. One pattern per size, so your second order fits the same as the first.

Three things we don't do
Better you know now than after the parcel arrives.
- Blended fabricEvery product is 100% linen. We do not sell linen and cotton mixes, even though they would cost you less.
- Sewing to your measurementsWe sew five standard sizes, S to XXL. We cannot change a pattern for one order.
- Embroidery, names or printsNo monograms and no words. Shirts and towels stay plain.
Delivery and returns in short
- Delivery in India
- ₹140 per order. Free when the order is ₹3,000 or more.
- Packing
- 1 to 2 days after we confirm your order.
- On the road
- 3 to 6 days across India, 1 to 2 days inside Mumbai.
- Payment
- UPI, card, or cash on delivery for orders up to ₹5,000.
- Returns
- Within 7 days. Not washed, tag still attached.
- Size exchange
- Your first exchange costs nothing.
Not returnable
Cushion covers and bedspreads from an opened pack. Once the seal is broken we cannot sell them to anyone else.
Questions people ask us
- Does linen wrinkle?
- Yes, more than cotton. After a day of wear you will see soft lines at the elbows and around the waist. For a flat look, use a medium iron on a shirt that is still slightly damp.
- Will it shrink in my machine?
- Very little. Our cloth gets its first wash before cutting, so at home the most you will see is 3%.
- I am between two sizes. Which one?
- The bigger one. If it still does not suit you, send it back unworn within 7 days and we post the other size. We pay the courier for that first exchange, both ways.
- Can I return a shirt I have washed?
- No.
- Is cash on delivery possible?
- Yes, for orders up to ₹5,000. Above that we send a UPI or card link after the confirmation call.

Anna Kurian chooses the fabric and sets the sizes. Joseph Mathew is our tailor. We sell online only. Orders are packed at home, and you can collect in Sion if you call us first.
